Q: Where is Dance Days of Buffalo being held?

A: Dance Days of Buffalo is being held at Tapestry Charter School, 65 Great Arrow Ave, Buffalo, NY 14216.

Q: What are the dates of the event?

A: August 4th, 5th and 6th 2016

Q: Is there a physical ticket?  How and when do I get it?

A: Ticket sales for three day and single day festival passes are online through EventBrite.  You’ll pick up your wristband for your chosen pass when you arrive to register for the day.  If you’ve purchased a ticket to a single performance online, your name will be on a list at will call.  Physical tickets will be available from individuals and organizations participating in the performances.   Children under age 12 are free to attend single performances and do not need a ticket.

Q: Is the event all ages?

A: Festival classes are ages 16 and up.  Single performances are all ages, and children under age 12 are free to attend.

Q: What is included in my ticket price?

A: A three day or single day festival pass includes varied classes throughout the day/weekend, one meal provided, and the performances at the end of each day.  Tickets to performances include an hour to hour and half of high quality entertainment.

Q:  Can I come take a single dance class?

A:  Unfortunately, the option to pay for a single class is not available.  In the interest of building community and we strongly encourage participants to stay for at least one day.   Single class passes will not be available for purchase.

Q: Where can I park?

A: There is a large parking lot on site, park anywhere!

Q: Will I be able to buy tickets at the door?

A:  Single day and three day festival passes may be available at the door, depending on availability.  Tickets for individual performances will be available at the door, pending availability.  We strongly encourage purchasing any tickets in advance.

Q:  What sort of vendors do you have?

A:  We’ll have a variety of vendors on site geared toward health, wellness, feeling good and of course dance! If you know anyone that would like to vend, please direct them to the Vendor Information under the Participate tab. 

Q:  What is the daily schedule like?

A:  The schedule begins at 8:15am and classes run until the start of the nightly performance at 8:00pm. There will be a 15 minute break between each class, and participants are welcome to build their schedule in a way that suits their needs.  There will be one meal provided for each participant throughout the day, and dancers can choose when is best for them to take a break. 

Q:  How many students will be in each class?

A:  There will be a maximum of 20-30 students in each class.

Q: Do I need to pre-register for the classes I want to take?

A: Nope!  Classes are first come first serve.  Simply show up to the classes you want to take.  If the class reaches capacity, it may be moved into a larger space or some participants may be asked to attend the other class scheduled at that time.

Q: What should I bring with me?

A: Please bring whatever you need to survive a day of dancing!  Layers of clothing, water and snacks are some recommended items.   A smile and a good attitude are also recommended.

Q: Is there a dress code?

A: Nope!  We ask that we ask that you wear clothes that don't obstruct your dancing, that you feel comfortable in. 

Q: The schedule is more than I’m used to dancing, what if I can’t keep up?

A: The schedule is designed in a way where individuals can build a schedule that fits their needs.  There are 15 minutes between classes to allow for water and rest breaks.  Some classes are less physically demanding than others or held in a classroom setting.  Students are also welcome to simply observe class. We recommend listening to your body, and resting when you need to.

Q: When should I arrive?

A: Please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the class you want to start your day with to allow plenty of time for registration. 

Q: Is there a payment plan?

A: YES!  Enter code “PAYL8R” to pay for half your ticket now, and half later.  The payment plan option is only available for three day passes.

Q: What is your refund policy?

A: Purchased tickets and payment plan deposits will not be refunded once purchased.  Tickets are transferable, and you are welcome to transfer them to another attendee through Event Brite should you be unable to attend.
